‘Die tote Stadt’ in Zürich

This spring, Eric Cutler makes a highly anticipated role debut as Paul in Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Die tote Stadt opposite Vida Miknevičiūtė as Marietta/Marie at Opernhaus Zürich. Under the baton of conductor Lorenzo Viotti and with staging by visionary director Dmitri Tcherniakov, this new production promises a captivating and psychologically nuanced interpretation of Korngold’s masterpiece.

Joining Cutler and Miknevičiūtė on stage are Björn Bürger as Frank/ Fritz, Evelyn Herlitzius as Brigitta, Rebeca Olvera as Juliette, Daria Proszek as Lucienne, Raúl Gutiérrez as Gaston, Nathan Haller as Victorin, and Álvaro Diana Sanchez as Albert.

The performances take place on April 21 and 25, May 2, 6, 9, 17, 21, and 29, and June 1.
